We are a year 1/2 class at Hope School in Nelson New Zealand. Our blog is mainly used to help us link to other areas to support our learning. We now share what we are doing in class on Seesaw with our families.

Dance with Mark from the Stepping Out Crew
Over the next 2 weeks, every afternoon, Mark will be coming in to teach a few different dances. We are having a lot of fun! On the last Friday of the term (next Friday) we will have a whole school demonstration, where we will share with the parents what we have learned.

Making Firelighters for the Fair
On Wednesday during our discovery session Rooms 2 and 4 made firelighters to be sold at the Country Fair. We had to melt candle wax into egg cartons. Once we had enough wax in a cup, we then put a little pine cone.
To use the firelighters you need to cut off one of the cups and place it in your fire with some kindling. You then light the firelighter.

Please Look After Hope School
Room 4 children have noticed a lot of rubbish being left around Hope School. We decided we wanted to share our opinions of why we need to look after our environment.

Fun at the Tasman Library
We love our trips to the library. Today we could make up our own poems using words on lego blocks. Some of us sat back and enjoyed a good book.
