We are a year 1/2 class at Hope School in Nelson New Zealand. Our blog is mainly used to help us link to other areas to support our learning. We now share what we are doing in class on Seesaw with our families.

Bishop's School and Broadgreen House
Today we experienced what it was like at school and home in the past. We first visited Bishop's School where 'Sir' - (John) met us. We were allowed to wear clothing from the past. We needed to follow the rules and have very good behaviour as we didn't want to get the cane ;-)
We then visited Broadgreen house. It was interesting looking around the house and seeing the different way people used to live. We had a go at making butter, washing clothes, using an apple peeler and learned about chamber pots, maids and potpourri.
