Lunch with our Family from Hope School on Vimeo.
We are a year 1/2 class at Hope School in Nelson New Zealand. Our blog is mainly used to help us link to other areas to support our learning. We now share what we are doing in class on Seesaw with our families.

Discovery - Food Fun
Today we spent time during discovery making hummus and soup, which we will serve to our parents on Friday during our shared lunch. We learnt the names of some vegetables and practiced safe kitchen techniques.

Georgia O'Keeffe Art
We have been learning about the American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Georgia O’Keeffe’s artworks include abstractions, large-scale depictions of flowers, leaves, rocks, shells, bones and landscape forms of Northern Mexico. Room 4 created our own flower and leaf artworks using pastels and dye.
"When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not."
